Content Creation Loneliness

Country Music Artists

Creating content is a lonely business. And whether we realize it or not, all business owners (including country artists) are content creators.

Business owners may manufacture products or provide services, but they also have to create content for their customers such as documents, letters, forms, emails, etc.

But let’s get back to country artists; specifically singer/songwriters.

The content creation process in the early stages is a lonely endeavor.

While the process of creating songs (I am only speculating here) is likely a lonely process, it can also be rewarding when the hard work pays off (usually much later than the date the content was actually created).

When unknown, country artists spend countless hours crafting songs. This process can go on for years before an artist and their songs reach the large target audience.

When you’re creating content it’s as if you have to motivate and struggle sometimes to keep your vision for success.

Again, this is a point where some quit.

Those who see this process as a motivator are the ones who ultimately succeed.

Successful songwriters know that with each lyric and melody they write they’re improving and getting better at their passion. Ultimately, these are the individuals who reach stardom.

Business Owners

For business owners on the Web, creating content is going to be lonely at times.

As I’ve suggested, you should start a blog for you hunting business.

You’ll have to create content for this blog. It’s going to be lonely at times.

You’ll have to use this loneliness and frustration as a motivator if you want to succeed on the Web.

Use the periods of content creation loneliness to work on improving your content. When you do get comments, determine what is drawing attention.

While this period is difficult, it’s advantageous for those individuals willing to use it as motivation to improve and grow their business on the Web.

Periods of High and Low Activity

Country Music Artists

As career paths begin to trend upward for country artists, there are times of highs and lows. This process is probably when most give up their dreams and go back to a life of security and normalcy.

Not everyone can take the swings associated with high success.

A country artist may go through a period when they get a song cut by another artist. This may be followed by some interest from a record label, which may lead to more meetings with other artists who may want to record songs.

This is a peak in the artist’s young career.

However, this temporary high is usually followed by a period of inactivity and little interest.

This is the letdown stage. And it’s a big letdown.

The record label may have turned out to not be truly interested. It’s difficult to repeat initial success instantly and continuously.

It’s a big swing.

However, it’s again a chance to motivate oneself and learn how to get back on an upward trend.

Upward career trends build steadily over time despite temporary peaks and valleys.

Eventually, that country artist will reach a point where they are a star and every song they put out will reach the top of the charts.

Business Owners

Businesses on the Web will face a similar path.

Initially you’ll have some early success.

Once you start a blog you might write a post that gets a huge amount of traffic.

I had such an instance with the post ‘Paid vs. Natural Traffic: It’s like Baiting vs. Funnel Hunting for Deer – Part 1′.

The post got a lot of attention and I was only weeks into this blog.

The traffic died down though and I was back to focusing on building a steady upward trend. There have been good days for traffic and slow days since, but the overall trend has steadily increased each week and month.

It’s important to focus on the long-term upward trend.

There will be high peaks and low valleys along the way, but as long as your focus is on the long-term upward trend you’ll be able to maintain focus.

Final Tipping Point

Country Music Artists

Here comes the point when the ‘overnight’ success happens.

The country artists who were willing to work through the early stage of success and build a foundation are the ones who reach the tipping point of success.

They’ll release a first single that will shoot straight to number one or they might release a few singles that draw some attention until they hit the right song that connects with a large audience.

Each successful artist reaches their own unique tipping point.

And their fans, their family, and their friends will consider them an overnight success.

You hear it from the artists themselves when they’re in interviews, “I’m a 10-year in the making overnight success”.

They know the work that went into success. They know that they persevered where others quit and went home.

And more importantly, they know that the road to everlasting success doesn’t end once you reach the tipping point.

It’s important to note that some artists forget that the tipping point is only the next step of the steady climb to success.

Continuing the trend will take even more work to build the foundation for success.

The artists that understand this important factor are the ones who reach superstardom and achieve success most dream about.

Business Owners

There will a come a point for your business on the Web when you start to see real success. You’ll start seeing a steady flow of traffic to your site and blog.

You’ll start to see those visitors begin to purchase your hunting product or book your guide service.

It’s a great feeling.

You’ll understand the work that led up to the point. Others around you may not see or understand it and that’s the point.

Your drive and passion are what set you apart.

The crucial lesson, especially with the ever changing landscape of the Web, is to always keep building your foundation.

Always keep the steady growth trend.

Don’t think you’ve reached the peak when you reach your tipping point.

If you think it’s the peak, it probably will be.

Don’t settle for the tipping point.

Conclusion

Motivate yourself to continually go through this entire process: Research, Initial Connections, Content Creation Loneliness, the Periods of High and Low Activity, and the Tipping Points.

Keep fighting to gain an edge over your competitors.

The Web is the closest we have to a free market of competition today. This means low barrier to entry and strong competition.

You’re going to have to be willing to stick with building your foundation more than your current competitors plus the new competitors that come along.

Think about your excitement and motivation when you first started. There will always be new businessmen who feel that same way as they gun for you.

Keep your drive and focus on the continual growth trend for your business on the Web.
